Appointments

Our Appointment System

Surgeries are by appointment only and these can be made either by on-line booking, dropping into the surgery reception desk or by telephoning 0300 123 1468

We aim to see any urgent patient requests on the same day. To be able to maintain this policy we require some flexibility with patients that if the problem is of a non-urgent nature then to book in advance.

To book non-urgent appointments please telephone after 13:00 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. On Thursdays please call before 13:00 as we are closed in the afternoon and on Fridays you can call when it’s convenient for you (during surgery hours).

To book online click here. You must first make sure you have a username and password which is unique to you. This is available by coming to the surgery and asking the receptionist as you must provide ID.

Please note that only GP appointments can be booked online due to the fact that nursing consultation times vary depending on the problem.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor.

Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.

Cancel an Appointment

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.

We have a high number of ‘Did Not Attend’ and appointments are precious which makes non attenders wasting an appointment that could have been used for an emergency.

Your thoughtfulness and cooperation is appreciated in not wasting appointments.

Home Visits

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10.30am if you require a home visit. This allows the practice to then be able to plan the Doctors appointments accordingly.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the practice.

Please refer to our Home Visit Policy
