Well Person Checks
From the age of 15 years upwards we strongly recommend a health check if you have not seen your docor during the last three years. This is usually booked with the health care assistant or practice nurse.
Cervical Smears
We suggest that cervical smears are done every three years from the age of 25 to 49 years and every five years from the age of 50 to 65years. This is in line with Department of Health guidelines. If you feel your appointment is overdue, please check with the surgery.
Patients Over 75
We recommend that patients over the age of 75 are seen every year for a check-up. If you find it difficult to get to the surgery, we can arrange for a member of the practice team to visit you at home. Flu vaccine is given every autumn on request. Please ask at reception.
Health Advice
Subject to demand, we are happy to offer our patients advice in specific areas, such as hypertension, asthma, diet, diabetes, smoking, agina and street. We are always prepared to look at other areas. You only have to ask. If you require additional services that we do not provide then please contact the PCT.
